Minn-Kota PAAWS/PAAWS Project (People Advocating Animal Welfare Services) was created to educate the area population of the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals and to take a proactive approach to the animal population problem. Our mission is to spay and neuter barn, feral, stray and companion animals, thus reducing the number of unwanted litters. We serve Moorhead, Minn., and Fargo, N.D., and their surrounding areas.

We received a donation of a older Honda and are having it evaluated by a mechanic. We'll probably salvage the car for parts. If you have a vehicle or any item to donate, please e-mail us, and we'll send you a letter for tax purposes. We just loaded another testimonial to the site and are working on getting more.

October 2005 - We've started setting up a few donation boxes and just developed some business cards. If your business can set up a donation box, please call or e-mail us. We added a "testimonials" page to our Web site and are contacting people we have helped. We're asking them to write a short paragraph detailing how we helped them. We'll start posting them to our site so you can get an idea of what we do!

On Oct. 7, The Forum did a "ride along" on our last spay/neuter trip. Read the Forum article click here. Our Web site has a new look! We were busy this summer with spay/neuters, raising money via rummage sales and eBay sales. Check the items we have for sale by clicking the "eBay" link. If you have nearly new items to donate, e-mail us. Did we assist you with spay/neuter costs? We'd like to post short paragraphs from people we have helped. If you received assistance from us, e-mail us a short paragraph on how we helped you (we won't include your full name).

Save Purina weight circles.

Cut out the weight circles on Purina dog and cat food products for us. We use them for veterinary services. Ask others to do the same!

Recycle your aluminum cans.

We recycle aluminum cans for cash. You can take cans to any of the three Minnkota recycling centers and ask them to credit the Minn-Kota PAAWS account. We will pick up cans from business sites.
